GotchaVid is available for Microsoft Edge from Edge Add-ons. The Chrome Web Store version is in review; this page will link to it once it is published.

Install the extension

1. In Microsoft Edge, open GotchaVid on Edge Add-ons and choose Get, then Add extension.
2. Pin GotchaVid from the extensions menu.
3. Open a video page, start playback, and open the extension.

No companion program is needed. The store keeps GotchaVid updated.

Save a video

Select a detected video or paste an accessible media link. Check its preview, choose quality and add it to the queue. File options include MP4, MKV, MP3, M4A and page-provided VTT/SRT subtitles. You can add up to 25 links at once.

Keep your browser running. Closing only the panel is fine. Downloads go to a subfolder of your browser's download location; change the main location in the browser's settings. A browser restart interrupts unfinished jobs; use Retry to start them again.

Accounts and Plus

You can download without an account. In Settings → Manage account, you can continue with Google, or create an account with your email address and save its recovery key in your password manager. An account is separate from the source website's login.

The Free plan includes any quality up to 720p and two Full HD (1080p) downloads a day. Plus adds unlimited Full HD, 1440p and 4K, batches, MP3/M4A audio, page subtitles and four downloads at once. Buy Plus in Settings → Manage account: a one-time payment through Stripe by card or PromptPay, 1 year ฿499 or lifetime ฿1,290; nothing renews automatically. After paying, return to GotchaVid and choose Refresh account. A payment return page alone never unlocks a plan.

If a download fails

Play the source video first. If it stalls there too, the source or network may be unavailable. Detect expired links again. Some sites do not expose accessible media; DRM and live recording are unsupported. Try another format when your browser cannot convert a codec.
